BRENDAN
BURKE
Brendan Burke is just a seriously funnyman. He doesn't have to
try. He was born with 'funny' in him. His stage presence, delivery,
timing and uniqueness of material are the reasons why his shows
are always a fantastic success.
"Burke has a way with words, accents, movement and inspired exaggeration"
........The Irish Examiner
His
shows are loved from the Point Depot in Dublin where he performed
in front of 6 thousand people (the larget audience that any comedian
in Ireland has played to) to as far away as Capetown - South Africa,
New York City and the United Kingdom.
At the 1999 Edinburgh Festival his 'Best of Irish Comedy' shows
were complete sell outs. At last years festival his show 'One
Night in Baghdad' received rave reviews and again was completely
sold out. "Suddenly I realised I was in the hands of a master
comedian"".....The Stage Last year he toured with Patrick Kielty
throughout Ireland and recently guest starred with Brendan O'Carroll
at the Olympia, Dublin. He also performed at the Olympia Theatre
with Eddie Izzard and Rich Hall (Perrier award winner 2000). Brendan
also has regular slots at Dublin's famous Murphy's Laughter Lounge
where one of his shows was recorded for Network 2's 'The Lounge'.
His other TV appearances were 'Fr Ted', 'The Late Late Show',
'Don't Feed the Gondolas' and UTV's comedy show 'The Empire Laughs
Back'. His radio shows include 'The Brendan Burke Experience'
from FM104's Murray - Mackey Show and 2FM's Mike Moloney show.
"He is part gorilla, part Travolta and part pure genius" .....The
Scotsman. "Great Show by natural born wit" .....Irish Independent
