Kahaney
Cory Kahaney works all the major New York comedy clubs: Caroline¹s
Stand Up New York, Gotham Comedy Club and the Comic Strip. Her
television appearances include, ³Politically Incorrect² with Bill
Maher, on ABC, hosting a week of ³Later² on NBC, ³The Martin Short
Show², Comedy Cental¹s ³Premium Blend² and ³Make Me Laugh², ³Comedy
Showcase with Louie Anderson², and ³Girl¹s Night Out² on Lifetime.
A member of the New York Friars Club, Cory was part of their tributes
to both Buddy Hackett and Sid Ceasar at the Danny Kaye Playhouse.
She also appeared in the Broadway-bound musical Funny Business,
at the Kennedy Center in Wash., DC. Cory is the recipient of the
1998 MAC Award for ³Outstanding Female Comedian in NYC² and was
featured in the 1998 ³Just For Laughs² Comedy Festival In Montreal.
Her one person show ³Having it all and Other Myths² premiered
at the 1999 US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and led to an HBO
half hour special. Cory returned again this year to the Aspen
Comedy Arts Festival as a featured Stand Up. Cory recently taped
a daytime talk show pilot with Jane Pratt for Buena Vista, and
she is currently in development for her own Sit-Com with Warner
Brothers.
